off the beaten path
Group exhibition curated by Joseph Abu
Off The Beaten Path is a group exhibition focused on addressing the critical state of the artistic landscape of Atlanta, Georgia in 2024. Our goals were simple: (1) shine a light on the poor per capita arts investment in the state (2) stand with artists being displaced from their studios due to rapid rent increase (3) show that artists exist and thrive despite the odds. These carefully selected works, challenge narratives, deconstruct power structures, and ultimately highlight the resilience of Atlanta’s artistic community.
Exhibiting artists include: Joseph Abu, Jean Patrick Icart-Pierre, LeMarques McClide, Taylor Jiles, Kiara Gilbert, Wilay Mendez Paez, each bringing their own unique vision and voice.
